Stargirl Episode 2 Review - Season 1

Episode 2 of Stargirl opens right where Episode 1 left off; in the parking lot of the tire company, just as pat shows up in his prototype robotic suit to rescue Courtney. They quickly flee the scene before brainwave follows them. Back at Pat’s garage, Cortney is still shaken from the experience, and tries to probe Pat for more info about brainwave and the injustice society. Here we learn about the fate of Hawkman and Hawkgirl, as well as the location of Icicle.

We have put together few theories and details to share with you so far as stargirl episode 2 is concerned.

Stargirl Season 1 Episode 2 – Theories

  • The plans of the injustice society.

My theory is, through the use of the new America foundation, the injustice society might attempt global domination, thereby being free to reshape the world in any way they deem fit. They might still need to take even more control of Blue Valley before this happens, though.

  • The legacy of the injustice society.

The Injustice Society, or at least some of them, must be hoping to impart their knowledge and skills onto their own children, constantly testing them and pushing them to their limit. Brainwave tests his son to see if he can read his mind. Sportsmaster and his wife constantly praise their daughter’s great athletic prowess. The principal too praises her son’s musical talents, but her connection to the Injustice Society hasn’t been shown yet. So far, the Wizard is the only one who seems to be content with living an average, normal life.

  • The origins of the cosmic staff.

In the comics, the staff is created by Ted knight, who also used the codename: Starman. Near the end of the episode, Pat mentions that the staff was created by Ted Knight, which follows the comics. Who knows, he might even show up in a later episode.

  • Brainwave’s injury

Brainwave’ injury might be the deciding factor that helps his son manifest his powers; it’s a common trope for characters with latent supernatural abilities to manifest them under highly stressful situations, and Junior seeing his father in that state might cause this.

  • The Infiltration of the Injustice society

The members who still live in Blue valley seem to have put down roots and established themselves into positions of power or influence within the town; the Wizard is the Mayor, Sportsmaster runs a popular gym, Tigress is the gym coach at the school, and Brainwave is a doctor.
